Air Force pound terror positions in Kilinochchi

Sri Lanka Air Force MI 24 helicopter gunships carried out air strikes targeting two LTTE gatherings detected 6.5 Km northeast of Akkarayankulam tank in Kilinochchi on Friday.

Air Force spokesperson Wing Commander Janka Nanayakkara speaking to defence.lk said that the attacks have been carried out in support of Army 57 division troops at 3 PM. He added the targets have been effectively engaged.
