Petrol bomb attack on Sripathi Suriarachchi’s residence in Borella

An unidentified gang has attacked the house of Gampaha District M.P. Sripathi Suriarachchi at No.18, Austin place, Borella, with petrol bombs at 8.15 p.m. yesterday.

 

The co-coordinating secretary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party - Peoples Front and MP, Suriarachchi’s residence was attacked with two petrol bombs by the gang which arrived at the scene in a trishaw.

 

The window panes of a few windows were damaged in the attack, injuries were not caused to the inmates at that time, due to the blast. When one of the security men fired gunshots, the unidentified gang fled in the trishaw in the direction of Borella town. Following this incident more police personnel are deployed opposite the MP’s residence. Investigations are continuing.
