Cultivation in the de-mined lands

Paddy cultivation is being done in the de-mined fields of Mathakal Panavetti and Soolanai.

 

About 500 larches of paddy fields in this area were abandoned for the last 12 years due to the land mines. The Hello Trust NGO has cleared the land mines of this area and paved the way for cultivation.

 

Still there are several places in Sandilipay Divisional Secretary Division to be de-mined.
